does anyone know the name of htis catfish is?

below is a picture of the only 2 fish in my tank (other then the two guppy fry i have hanging in a net ).. one is a male guppy, and the other is some type of catfish.. is this a cory catfish? i really like this fish, the first year i had him he would NEVER move, EVER...i actaully was waiting for the day he would die  .. but over these past two months he has became VERY active, and its always darting around my tank, im now dreading the day he will get old and die :( i used to think he was the uglyest thing ever, now since he has been the coolest fish ever, i think hes adorable! would it be a good idea to get another one?

im sorry the fish are blurry.. they wouldn't stay still! i guess trying to take a pic during feeding time was a bad idea! ;)

Yup, that's a cory! :) I believe a corydoras melanistus, which are a way cool variety. I don't remember what size tank you have but they like to be in groups, so a friend or three or more would be great!

That is definatly a Cory. I think that it is a Bronze Cory. Hard to tell from the pic. I would reccomend getting at least 1 more Cory. Although I found that if they are not the same type of Cory they wont stick together. At least mine didnt.

I have this kind of cory. Prob it's this one here:
http://www.corycats.com/corydoras_pastazensis.htm
My peppered cory tries to make friends with this one.
I had one problem with this cory though: he is very easily freaked out and first 2-3 months he was getting his nose banged pretty badly. Now he is sporting white banged nose! I was very worried about him and his nose but now I just accnowledge that my cory has pretty banged nose!

hm, the spots seem more prominent and black color extends to the dorsal fin, so i think:
http://www.corycats.com/corydoras_schwartzi_htm.htm

these are fairly common, often sold as "spotted cories" along with half a dozen other speices. but there are many, many varities of corydoras that are similar in appearance. since they can be a bit washed out in photos or when stressed, it makes it really tough to get an exact ID from a small pic. nice fish, anyway, and all our virtually identical in care.

Definitely a cory, and definitely would like a friend. They'll get more active with a friend, and be happier (less lonely). He'll shoal with any cory that looks sort of like him, as long as they're around the same size.

Also definitely not a schwartzi... I have 2, and I also have a cory that looks really close to yours. Schwartzi cories are distinctly black spots, not brown spots. And they are arranged in definite lines. It's not a bronze cory either. Mine is one of the many that planetcatfish.com called "spotted" cory... I'll bet yours is too.

Edit: Looking around the cory site posted above, I think yours is this: http://www.corycats.com/corydoras_delphax_htm.htm
Notice how it has no common name...
