"Natures Ocean substrate" (Is it crushed coral?)

I was in Petco and saw a clearance for "Natures Ocean Premium Marine Substrate". That is literally all it said. It said nowhere any ingredients.

Is this crushed coral that I can use as a buffer in my FW tank? It looks like crushed coral and for $6.00 its a good deal.

If anyone has an idea, let meknow.

It probably has special elements and other chemicals that are meant specially for marine fish--ask an employee for info (the PETCO employees at the store by me are really helpful)

If it's cheap it likely is just crush coral. Have a look before you decide to use it in a freshwater tank, especially if it's for african cichlids - the rough shapes are very hard on their mouths.
