this is the first one that i need idenifed

this is the one i need confirming i assumed that it was a yellow lab but its colouration is a lot darker and more striped than my other yellow labs.

Yes that 2nd one is a yellow lab. Some vary in color due to breeding....depends on the breeder and what kind/quality his parents were.

1st is either a Pseudotropheus saulosi male (Though i've never seen a male with that much barring before) or a type ofPseudotropheus elongatus. How big is it and got any other pics of it?

just noticed it now has greyish spots around its mouth, does not seem to be bothering him done a water test and everything was fine. any ideas?

Definitely not P. saulosi.
I'm not too sure about P. elongatus either but it does seem like P. elongatus is there in influence.
The face/mouth seems to have almost a P. socolofi quality to it. I've seen some heavily barred P. socolofi but they usually become more uniform in color as they age.

I agree...elongatus is possible but seems a little off. Young socolofi however can have quite prominant barring as straitjacket has said, and they fade away into a more solid blue as they mature.
