need filter help quick

okay i boiled my pieces for my regent aqua-tech for a 30-60gand tottaly warped them. it bent the impeller housing, the tube, and the strainer. i can't fix these now. how much am i looing at to replace these pieces???also how much would a new filter be? thanks for thehelp

I think it's going to be cheaper for you to get a new filter. The Aqua-Tech are designed by Marineland, but a new impeller would probably be $10, the strainer/tube another $5. A new filter would probably cost $30. It's up to you.

Why did you boil them?

Aquaclears are usually recommended, and are pretty reasonable. Marineland filters are also good. I personally like the Eheim HOB filters.

they are pretty close to the same price, which one would preform better and be cheaper to keep up with the filters?

I use Aquaclear at work, and in my own tanks. They work well.

should i get the 50 or the 70 for my 55 gallon

usually better to go for more filtration/aeration, so I'd go for the 70
