Need help with gourami disease!

I need some help quick!

I had two beautiful blue gouramis in my tank, both about two years old. Recently though the female became real emaciated and sick looking. She had about a 5 mm spot on her that looked like a zit and later she began to get a lot of brown spots. I tried treating for Ick and fungus, but neither worked and she didn't make it.

Now my male is getting it. He's got cloudy eyes with pink around them and his fins are getting ragged. He is also getting the brown spots.

Can someone tell me what this is?
I can't figure it out...

I found a few things on that site that seemed to describe your problem. Since i don't actually know what the fish look like i can't help that much. Hope you find out what it was!

can you post a picture at all?


Hmmm....I imagine you followed the directions on the fungus medication (i.e. - take any carbon out)? Are all of your other fish alright?

actually everythings ok now. i'm melafixing my whole tank just to be safe, and the brown spots went away on their own.
