I haven't posted much in the past year but I really needed to share this.
OK so a couple of weekends ago we are watching Extream Home Make over and they were fixing the house of a little girl that has some blood disorder and does a lot of fund raising for cancer research. I guess she does pretty good with her venture and that is wonderful. So my daughter says to me I wish I could raise money like that but for the animals. So I say to her what do you think you could do? She says we could make dog cookies and sell them.
I think well that's a wonderful idea, not hard and there are plenty of people that would buy a dog cookie for their pet right? So I then ask her who would you donate your money to. She says the CT Humane Society and wanted to pick another place as well so she could help both places. Her other choice is Animal Friends of CT. Next Question to her is What is your goal, how much to you want to try to make? She being slightly ambitious says $500. OK so I now know we have alot of work on our hands.
I go to SAMS club and buy the thing we need to make Peanut butter dog cookies which she has named Puppy Love Cookies great name. We make the cookies set up a table in front of one of the local Grocery Stores here (with their permission) and she earns $134 by sitting there for a couple of hours. She is also going to be making more to put at a local kennel that said they would sell them for her and collect the money. (A friend of mine works there so I have no fear that they will rip her off).
Sorry it's long, I'm just so proud of her.
