Need to ID aqua clear hotb that I got w/tank today

I got a used tank today with an aqua clear hotb filter. I identified it as an aqua clear from the pics at petsmart.com. It has a model number, "mod. A-6..RN" but that's all. It's about 8" across, about 5" deep, and the lid is missing. I assume the info was probably on the lid, lol.
Anybody have one of these? Thanks.

at 8", I'd imagine it's a 500(Now called 110); the largest AC made. Rated at 60 to 110 gallons, 60 is more realistic.

I have a aquaclear 110(500) and it is about 12" across so I think it might be a smaller model.

Im guessing it is an aquaclear 70

The AquaClear 70 is 8 3/8" across the top and 6" from front to back.

Ok I was wrong... I got off my *** and measured my 70, and lo and behold, it's a little over 8" across.

So, you have an AC 70(which used to be called 300). Excellent filter, not quite as large as the 110, but decent none the less. It's rated up to 70 gallons(Hence the name).

Cool, thanks a bunch! I still have to try it out though. Do you think it would provide enough filtration for a 55g goldfish tank??

Hmm... for goldfish, technically yes, but I wouldn't run it alone. As I've said many times, I'm a total megalomaniac, but I would go with at least a 110 or the 70 plus a 30 or 50... goldfish are messy fish!

I have the 70 on my fairly overstocked(I'm aweful)29. It may be overkill there, but not for goldies. My sister has a 55 with goldfish and koi; she has a 110 and a 50, which works well.
