While closely inspecting our 55 g tank for our guppy to pop fry, I noticed small round little things crawling on the glass and some long squiggly ones too. If these are in fact round and flat worms are they really harmless or not? I saw one of our cherry barbs eat one swimming through the water column while feeding them all blood worms. Does eating these things infect the fish or any other harm to the fish??

55g-- 1 tiger barb. 5 cherry barbs, 9 neons, 2 frogs, 4 dwarf sunset platys, 1 large pleco, 1 chineese algae eater, 1 large male beta who loves the big tank uncharecteristicly, some snails, driftwood, two 55w mirro flourescent 1x96 mirro on timers, lots of plants on order, and waiting for my eco complete substrate

10g-- 1 oregon newt, lots of rock shelves

are they whitish? Could do a search on the board for "planeria" and see if thats what you have. Not harmful, but indicitive of water quality that might need some help. Your fish will eat them...might want to do some extra cleaning and water changes though.
