I just added a neon blue dwarf gourami to a 20 gal tank. All the fish seem to be getting along, so far, the RTS has not chased him. I know there is room for a couple of more fish but will leave it this way for awhile. I have been told that gouramis are labrynth (sp?) fish, like bettas, and was wondering if they could live in bowls (or non-filtered small tanks) like bettas? If not, why? Thanks for all the information. :)

Gouramis are labrynth fish but they require more swim space than bettas, bettas are actually kinda lazy little fish. That is why they are not suitable for bowls and vases.

Neon blues are very peaceful and very pretty, I unfortunately just lost mine. :(

3 spots, however, are a somewhat different. Mine chase each other constantly, luckily I have two females and so they do not hurt one another. They are actually really good friends. I do not think this would be the case had I two males.
