i recently had to remove two of my neon tetras from my community tankdue to neon tetra disease, and the remaining tetra's are under careful obervation for symptoms.

what im mainly concerned with, is if neon tetra disease can spread to my other fish, (gouramis, cory cats, pleco, rosy barb) ?

thanks,

max

I read somewhere that it can spread to other fish only if they eat the dead fish that is infected. I also recently had to remove a couple tetras because of
NTD and so far none of my fish have been affected (knocks on wood) so i wouldnt worry about it to much.

it can spread to the other fish technically but it can be easily avoided. Remove sick fish (done) Do water change to make sure water is good parameters, observe(done) and add slime coat or aquarium salt. This is what i did for my tank when i had NTD at beginning and it successfully treated my tank no other fish were infected after this was done.
