I think one of my neons has NTD, but I'm not quite sure.
It has a very large, pale spot that almost covers his entire tail except for the tip. It looks like it could be bulging out just a tiny bit as well.

I researched NTD and cysts and loss of color are a symptom, so I'm guessing this is probably what he has, likely dooming my other neons to his same fate...

I'm going to remove him from the tank and place him in a quarantine asap.

Any suggestions?

I have him quarantined and the spot is definitely a protruding cyst...which more than likely means that he is infected with NTD.

There is also false NTD which is actually bacterial. Definately take it out and quarintine. You could try to treat as something bacterial but if it's real ntd it won't do any good. At least then you'd know for sure. Also, do large water changes in your big tank to remove as many as the spores as possible. The spores have to be ingested to be "caught" from the other fish. From what I understand, not ALL fish will get it but your angels are one of those that can. (I've done alot of reading on ntd as I have 2 neons in quarintine with it. They've had it about a month now.) It takes longer to kill angels though.
