Neon Tetra with cloudy eyes, lack of colour and a little bloated... any ideas?

Hi everyone,

We have a few Neon Tetras in one of our tanks and the eldest has developed a few strange symptoms over the past few weeks - I did put it down to age, but he's only three or four, I'm worried it might be something more serious. The others seem totally fine.

Any thoughts as to whether he's caught something nasty, and if so what we can do about it?

Yes. it does seem to spend a lot of time hovering still in the water.

is it's scales pointed outward?

Based on the picures, it looks like the spine is also curved. I would suspect Neon Tetra Disease.

No, his scales don't seem to be pointing out. But I guess his scales are very small, possibly difficult to tell.
