hey guys, quick question for ya. I just noticed this morning a few of my neon tetra's seem to have lost a lil bit of their colour, they are usually very colourful, sharp red, and a sharp blue line. Today i've noticed that even though the blue line is still quite visible on a few of my neons the red is not very colourful at all... very paleish looking. Any ideas guys? is this that infamous neon tetra disease? any insight would be appreciated.

Hmmmm - if it's still early morning, sometimes it's when they're sleeping their colour fades, but comes back when they're a little lively! :)
It could be a number of things, though i doubt it is Neon Tetra Disease, the most likely is stress. Perhaps, another fish is picking on them - or most commonly your water levels aren't exact - could you check them out? A water change may do good :D

thanks very much guys, today they look perfectly healthy again. I also just did a 40% water change just to make them a lil happier and added some green hedge plants to the tank, both for atmosphere, and to help control the water conditions better, it's getting pretty well planted now.
