Well, If you don't have a heater for it or even if you do, White cloud minnows are a very atttractive choice for a small tank. They are also going extinct in the wild due to deforestisation(sp?) and city development so it is important for us to continue their speices even if it is in captiveity. I try to squeze them in to any free space in my tanks, they don't take up much room, don't bother anyone and are qute!

Rasboras, rainbowshark, and my corys dont use a heater. My house stays about 70-72+F though lol.

A dwarf puffer could be a cool ten gallon occupant. If you are willing to try brackish you could go with a bumblebee goby setup. But amazon makes a good point in favor of WCMMs, I love those little guys. (Three share a 3 gallon with a male betta.)

ugh lol well sorry basicly free 10$ is not that much i did not mean it like that how much do South Americna puffers cost and what about White cloud minnows how much do those cost also those seem like a better choice guppies are cool and all but i would end up feeding them to my oscars if i could not get a ride to my LFS that week (even though i dont have to)

not to be a jerk but a 10 gal.sells brand new for 10 dollars or less at almost any place that sells fish goods.go for the minnows they are on of the most overlooked and tough fish in the hobby.and you can feed them to your oscars eventualy because they are one of the few egg laying fish that will reproduce without your help
