Hi I bought a used 29 gallon fish tank. I was wondering if I should seal this before I use it just to make sure it doesn't leak in the future. It's made of glass and already has some sort of silicon seal on there.

I wouldn't seal it. The only way to really re-seal a tank is to remove all the silicone that's on there and replace it, which is a big job that I wouldn't recommend unless the tank is leaking.

I would fill it up and leave it somewhere for a few days (garage, outside, etc.) to make sure it's not leaking. Make sure you always have the tank on a level surface.

yea i ditto lotus, dry run it somewhere for a few days, id put a paper towel under it to see if there are any leaks....it would be a pain to set it up then take it down once again hehe.

those tanks are awsome, i have a 37 gallon which is the same as your but higher, and i love it, perfect size.
