Used me local website to pick up a nice 6-head frag of Candycane today for $12! Does anyone have an opinion on how important it is to handfeed Candycane? I'm leaning towards NOT doing it, and the guy I got it from doesn't either, but I'd liek to hear other opinions.

I'm also waiting on a Zoa frag I picked up in a trade, but the guy I was getting that from said he can't ship until tomorrow.

I had a huge candycane colony that I fragged into about 6 individual colonies of 6+ heads each I have never target fed this coral and it grows like crazy.....

I never fed mine. I tried once and it really didn't take food like an Acan will. Just didn't seem interested.

Do you put any zoomax, or similiar in your tank? It'll probably be fine without any direct feeding.

I don't add anything like that yet since I don't have anything else which would even glance at it, but I want to get into Acans and Brains, so I'll look into that. I don't want to make any huge changes until I move early next year though.

i dont feed mine other than adding frozen cyclopeeze to the tank twice a week (all the corals get some)
