New ADF's

I just got my 2 ADF's Sunday (1 male/1 female.) The female is out and about playing dead near the surface of the water while the male i've seen once since Sunday when he went up for some air and divebombed back into the driftwood cave I have. I looked at the guide by leopardess (great guide btw) and I couldn't figure out how often to feed the ADF's. Also, I tried the turkey baster and tweezer method for feeding on the female with no luck. I have tried HBH frog and tadpole bites as well as freeze dried bloodworms i've soaked for a bit. How else can I get her to try and eat and what about the male who doesn't seem like he wants to come out? I know it's only been a few days, but better to figure out things now than later.

where did you get them? You could always ask what they were feeding them and make sure that they were eating. Have you tried frozen bloodworms? Maybe they can't smell the food that you're trying to feed them?

I feed frozen foods. It took mine a week or so to figure out the feeding thing. Now, when I put the turkey baster near them, one of them lunges at it repeatedly until she gets some food. The other isn't quite as good a feeder, but she also holds her head up at a bit of an angle... maybe a spinal irregularity that makes her less vigorous than the other one.
The male will show himself eventually, I'm sure. Mine were shy for a couple of weeks.
