Well, I added a new 'fish' last weekend to the predator tank... The wrasse went missing that night... 2 days later the dwarf fuzzy lion was found disemboweled stuck in behind the skimmer mounting bracket.

Awful cute for a cold blooded killer eh? :)

Oh - and the beginings of his new tank!

Discussing it with people more familiar with eels, probably more likely a territorial thing.

A mantis wouldn't have survived long - the wrasse and lion would have made lunch out of him long ago. :)

Sure some do, but in a tank with 3 species of fish that are not invert friendly (the dragon wrasse alone had killed off numberous turbos/margaritas and more hermits than I care to think about), the likelyhood of a mantis surviving any length of time was slim to none (heh - gives me an idea - maybe I should offer mantis removal services)

Also no clicking, or other signs of mantis activity.

be careful with that snowflake eel... i got one a few weeks ago and within a few days it escaped the tank threw the top (even though i tried to block it off) and by the time i found it the next morning it was too late
