I was at Petsmart today and was surprized to see that they had female bettas there. I'd never seen a female betta before so I'd always figured that they would be kind of dull looking like a female guppy is - I was completely wrong about that. Anyways, I ended up buying 2 of them for my 55g tank. Unfortunately, they wouldn't stop moving so the pictures aren't very good. Any name suggestions would be appreciated!

Well Im thinking maybe Mango, Amber or Ember for the Red Betta. And Maxi, Luna or Schatzi (which is "joy" in German) for the blue Betta. Just some ideas. :D

They are pretty by the way. :)

Maybe someday they'll get to see Piccasso. I doubt it though. He puffs his face out whenever I go near him so he would probably tear up a female pretty badly. Maybe someday I'll get another male betta that's not as aggressive. They seem like an interesting fish to try to breed.
