new betta

alright so i picked up my new betta today. it was labeled as a "twinlobe betta". it looks just like a fighter-type betta. are they the same thing? ill get pics whenever i can...hes dark blue with red pelvic fins and his pelvic fins are really long. he has a bunch of scars and wounds right now because he was in a tank with another "twinlobe" betta and they were fighting...he was the one kicking the others butt so i decided to take him so the other one could heal in peace and i could have the tough one lol. is it alright to feed my betta flakes?

Maybe he's a double tail betta (DT).

Most won't eat flakes. They love bloodworms or maybe brine shrimp. Are you sure the pellets are too big for him? What other foods do you already have for your other fish?

nahh hes not a double tail...doesnt look like one. i tried flakes with mine and he eats em. i dont have any more pellets cuz i got rid of them...my moms betta couldnt fit em in his mouth so i just got rid of em. i have floating cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets, cichlid granules, algae wafers, and krill for my other fish.

freeze dried Krill? he might like osme of that crumbled.

alright ill try that...theres alot of krill crumbs in the container from the larger pieces
