New betta!

Today when I went to Petco and bought stuff for the cory fry, I couldn't help noticing that the bettas were on sale...AND there was this cute little guy...Of course I bought him! Juju left an empty spot and I kinda had to fill it. So, I put him in the 20g. I put Kissyboots in a container in the tank and let him explore. Then I let her out. She flared her gills at him and he ignored her. She didn't chase him. Then they started mating. CRAP! He tore off some of her fin so I put him in the 5g where he can't hurt anyone and no one can hurt him. Now all the fish are happy again!

(The green part is actually whitish, it's the reflection)

Yup, he's definately prettier that Juju was. He was red. How boring is that!?! Anyway, he kinda fits to Kissyboots except she is like twice as big. I can't put them together (yet) cuz he ripped up her fin and now she looks dorky. Oh well. He's too small to eat the swordtail fry so he's fine in the 5g.

Here's the whole guy. Unfortunately I already entered two in the feb. contest so this guy didn't make it in. Maybe next year.

Wow, striking eyes too!
I never usually take much notice of a betta's eyes...too caught up with their body coloration and long finnage, I suppose.
But yours really caught my attention. *thumbsup2
