Tre I recently picked up a nice trac and was researching that they prefer to be placed on the substrate rather than on rock? Mine has been doing nicely on the sand......boy that is a nice piece....wish we had access to stuff like that.

Trachys are usually found on the substrate in nature, but they don't do so well if they get sand on them constantly. If you've got anything that sprays sand over corals on the substrate, it would be better to keep it on the rock.
