New Catfish and pesky Mollies

I just went to petco and bought a new spotted cory catfish so I won't have to clean the tank as much. She is the cutest little thing, and doesn't seem to mind me standing near, or even putting my hand in the fish tank. The only problem is that the other fish eat her algae wafers once they soften up in the water. What should I do about that? Should I put her on the other side of the divider with the babies? I'm sure she won't eat the babies, so it should be alright. She will just clean up after them.

One more thing. My black molly (who I think is pregnant) has been picking on the other fish and chasing them away if they get to close. What should I do to make her not as aggressive?

My Danios might also be pregnant. I think I am having a baby fish flood! Let's just hope the catfish isn't pregnant...

The Cory Catfish will do nothing to help clean your tank. I just adds to the bioload IMO. You still haven't said you had your water tested. Did you take the dead molly back to Petco with a water sample?

Danios cannot get pregnant. They're egg layers and trust me, you don't have the time, space, or equipment to raise up to 200 fry. Corydoras are scavengers, not algae eaters and they need to be in schools of at least 5. IMO, I would take it back. The molly on the other hand, cannot be changed. My pregnant wag platy was too aggressive for me so I got rid of her. Btw, what type of corydora is it?? If anything, I hope you got a Pygmy Corydora. They only get about 1.5 inches. Oh wait, now that I read again it says spotted. Did you get a Peppered Corydora?? Is this what it looks like??

The catfish may eat some leftover food its finds, but will not make your tank maintenance less.

Giving her a larger tank to live in will reduce her aggression. She's trying to carve out some space of her own and can't due to the overcrowded conditions.

Danio sp. and cories are egg layers and won't give birth to young.
