Thank you!!
One of my Yellow Labs is also holding!! The labs were my 1st cichlids, and i love their faces!
I am planning to change their habitat to a more natural one once they are in their 55 gal. home....sand substrate, more flat rocks...... When I set the tank up originally, I did research on Cichlids, but not too much on tank habitats....so I didn't buy sand, and I originally had the thing filled with plants.
I, like you, have six in my tank too.......they'll be fine for now..
Oh---and they look soooo vibrant b/c they had a diet change, and a light change. Their light is almost like a blue-ish flourescent.....and their main diet is Spirulina...with a little Cichlid ATTACK!!! every couple of days. I also give them a piece of Seaweed Salad (i think that's what it's called) instead of their regular food once in a while. They love that stuff so much...when I go to put it on the clip in their tank, it usually gets yanked out of my hand by 2 or 3 of them that have no patience.
