Well my Cons in the 30G have laid eggs again...I will have to go back and see when the last group was laid and hatched but seems like about 5 weeks now maybe 6. Anyway many of the original fry are about 1/4 and are still in the tank with the parents, the only fry lost are ones I used as feeders to small native fish. The new experiment is parental behaviour towards the current fry when it comes to the new batch of eggs. Will they still defend the current fry? Will they begin harassing or consuming their first born fry? I was going to move the original fry out but this may be much more interesting. I am wondering that if I was to take the eggs out of this tank would the parents lay more in a few days? Hmmmm thats another experiment for the next round of eggs.

my pair of cons started harassing their current fries after laying another batch of eggs, so i have to move the babies to a smaller tank (15g) where they can grow peacefully.
i'm tired of baby cons & all the harassments in my 100g tank & so i separated the females from the males. the bigger female still continue to lay eggs w/o the presence of the male and funning them. the funny thing is the 2 females got paired up. i guess the other one (or both of them) is a lesbian.... ha, ha, ha!......
