I scored a free Fluval Chi (complete with one little female platy that will go into the livebearer tank) off of CL yesterday. I was psyched because I've liked the look of them, but would never pay what they ask for one. I cleaned it out, and added media from another tank, as well as some plants from the established tanks.
Are there any quirks I need to know about this type of tank? The filter doesn't seem to be very strong, is it effective? There seems to be sufficient water circulation with the minimal decor in there, but I am not sure if it will be very good once the plants grow in a bit more. Does anyone have one of these?
