new filter now what

ok got the tetra whisper for a 10 gal tank did a chem check nitrate 40 ppm ,nitrite .5 ph is right on.... as I posted on the bottem of my molly jolly i only have the 9 fish in there. what do I now need to keep an eye on so they dont go belly up?


I really want this tank to work my kids have grown attached to them and so have I

Has the new filter been put into the aquarium? If so and no one has died i'd say you have got it!

your nitrates are too high...you should do a water change asap

ok will do the water change as soon as hubby gets home

I usually make sure to change mine if the nitrates get above 10ppm or if its been about 7-10 days.

The new filter works like a charm the water is crystal clean and the fish are swimming happily
