ok..... i have a penguin 330 on my 55g tank. i want to get another one for it. i want iut to be another penguin. i have $30 to spend. i could get another 330. but the only problem is i may be moving and the 55g tank might not fit. i will maybe have to move down to a smaller tank. but i want top but a filter that will also do good in a tank smaller than 55g. the 330 i think would be over kill for a 10g tank. the tank i may have to go dwon to varies from 10g-40g. so i dont know which to go with. i will go with what the manufatuor site says for the amount of G it does. the penguin bio-wheel mini does 20g, the 125 does 30G, the 170 does 50G and the 330 does 70G. i dont know with which one to go with. all advice would be helpfull. thanks a lot :D

I have a P330 on my 29gal. And I have a P175 on my 20h. They seem to do okay. A 330 on a 10 gal is overkill. A P125 on a 10gal is good.

Also, the recommended gallon capacity on the box can be misleading. Use the gallons per hour (GPH) as a guage. 5-10 times the gallon capacity of the tank works. If it's a 10 gallon tank, then 10 times 10 gallons is 100 GPH.

Go to www.bigalsonline.com to buy your filter. The stores really mark up their prices. I got the 330 for $30. I paid $35 for my 175 at the LFS.
