New fish, advice?

wow, i'm actually backon it's been a week.

OKay so well here, i was at my LFS yesterday and i saw the cutest lil fish and i had to buy three of them!! They were albino halfbeaks, so small, and only 1.39, how cheap!! well i just needed a little about them, ph?, what food they like best, how quickly they grow, i don't trust the LFS ppl too much

OKya i also bought a female lyretail swordtail, i've been looking for one for like 7 months!!, Okay i was wondering since most of the males are useless in the whole breeding area, should i just get a normal male swordtail to mate with her?

Half beaks don't care what kind of water you keep them in. Hard brakish or soft rainwater it's all good. Although many people state they will only breed in hard water. They are generally peaceful, but if I was you I'd get 7 or 8 more to keep aggression down.

Best to feed them live black worms but they will also take your standard flake.

I read that they are also jumpers, I had one of mine disappear and have yet to find him. I suspect he jumped.
