Hi, Im new to this. I wish I came across this site a few days ago. Anyways I got a 33gal fish tank yesterday got some fish for it and I put the fish in:
Pink Kissing Gourami
2 Silver Angel<< now dead :-[
Buenos Aires Tetra
Blue Gourami
Opaline Gourami
Bala Shark
Albino Cory Catfish
3 Neon Tetras
And a Peco or Peto <<its an Algea eater
Anyways today when I got home I notice the 2 Angel fish were swimming side ways, breathing wierd, they started going to the top the spinning downward, I took them out and put them in a bowl to try and save them, but they are now dead in a bowl. I called the pet store cause I have alot of air bubbles on the glass, plants and basicly everything, he told me dont put fish in the tank for a few days till all those bubbles are gone, he said that means that there is to much oxygen in the tank and is not good for the fish, I told them I all ready have fish in there, he said how are they doing, I said they look fine there swimming around, he said to keep an eye on them. Now im worried the rest of the fish are gonna die :-[
I put water conditioner in yesterday, I didnt test the water for Ph. need to buy a kit. Anything I need to know or do, cause I am clueless and feel really bad now. My bf went to get some chlorine drops for the water. We had a fish tank before and the same type of fish and they were fine when we put them in. oh well thanks for reading.
UPDATE UPDATE: Well the 3 Neon Tetras and the Bala shark died. We tested the water and everything was fine, except the ph. level was low so we needed to bring it up. The other fish seem to be doing fine. The water had quite the stench to it, any ideas what could cause this? The fish were not in the tank long after they died. Anyways hopefully we are on the right track now. Thanks Everyone
