New Fish!

Hello all,
Another new fish here. Just set up our first freshwater aquarium.
So far we have 4 cory catfish,5 zebra danios,5 male guppies( the females arriving soon), 1 black redtailed shark who is very peaceful despite what I have read about him!, and 2 albino african clawed frogs. All are getting along very well. So far that is.

welcome aboard tramca! well about the RTC .... wait till he gets bigger... he will end up eating all your other fish.....
also they get ENORMOUS! i wish you have a pond to get him in after a year good luck!

I think he said red tail shark NOT cat, so no big problems there. Enjoy your tank, and just keep on eye on the shark to see if he starts to chase the cories when he gets bigger.

Also I would keep an extra eye on the clawed frogs. I have heard that they will eat any fish that they can fit into there mouths. I have 2, but the fish are quicker and bigger so they have no problems. I would definatly watch the corys, as they will spend most of there time on the bottom with the frogs.

The tank is roughly 20 gallons(approx 90 litres).
All seem to getting on fine. The frogs hide away and are no problem to the corys and vice versa.
Just introduced our new Betta....him and the RTBS spent all evening figuring out lives where. Funny to watch...no bullying involved though thank goodness.
