I need some new fish for me tank. My Tank Info is in my Signature at the bottom.

What I need is an alge eater. How about a Pleco? I have brownish spots appearing on my tank (is that the type of alge that pleco's eat?)

Well anyways, I really like Rams. (how much they normally go for?) .. Would rams go well with platys?

I want to add some colour to my tank. All my fish are Yellow/orangish... (expect the neon tetras)

Any suggestions?

If it's brown algae, then Oto's are your fish of need.  Excessive brown algae eaters, and all round peaceful tank mates.

Totally agree w/ Nick.  Otos are perfect for the infamous brown algae.  They devour it like cows in a pasture.  We got 2 for our 55G (more on the way) and they were quite small when we got them.  W/in a week, they had doubled their "waist" size and grown noticably lengthwise as well.  Just what the doctor ordered.  Good call, Nick!  *celebratesmiley*

yup ottos are kick butt mine ate all the algae and now i give algae tablets.  german rams are what ur talking about and ive had nothing but bad luck with em they are not as hardy as other fish and therefore dont recommend them to the begginer like me :) they also arent the cheapest fish round here they cost anywheres from 7-8$.  if u want more color why dont u get a few more neons they really should be kept in schools of 6 or more in my opinion.  anyways im not really an expert but definately get some ottos got rid of my algae.

I forgot to mention, the brown is appearing on the glass, it looks like it is a alll smudged on the inside... that's alge right?

I've been keeping my light off, only turn it on to feed them, then it goes off again...

tomorrow, I plan on buying myself an otto :)
