New Hammer

traded some zoanthids and a mush for a 5 head hammer..just opened the actinics..really looks like a frogspawn, looks like a mix between 2...but he got some "T" tips unlike my frogspawn

The most unkillable LPS are imo the frogspawn and the candy canes. You got them for real cheap, was there a reason for that ? Sometimes, questionable stores slash their price when their corals aren't in top shape, even turning them around to hide their wound/disease. With LPS you can't always see it all around, so beware. Acclimatation should be done slowly and LPS are extremely easy to puncture. LPS in a 8 gallon can be more difficult due to quick parameters changes.
I have a 120+ G. water volume so it's easier than a 8.

I bought it on ebay, and in the pic it was fully open and looked very healthy. I acclimated it and it opened, but the next day it was dead. I dont know whats up with my tank. Most of my shrooms have dissapeared and my zoas wont open.

I seem to remember when I got my hammer, the polyps didn't look very "hammerish." The polyps may change over time, as it gets used to your tank. I guess it could be a cross, though.

well at least if it's a frosgspawn he really doesn't look like my other one.
I told the guy it looked like a frog, but insisted about the "T" tips...anyways i'll see.

The form doesn't look like frogspawn much to me. I guess you'll figure it out over time.
