new lfs???? help

um ya i found a new fish shop in the town near me
its called pats pets
cheesy huh?

anyway they have a small aqua section but all the cichs were cheep

but they wernt labeld
a lot jsut said baby cichlid. adult cichlid
one said blue eyed cichlid
they were seling all these for 1.99 canadian a piece.
i wish i knew wut kinds they were ;( and how big they would get so i can get some. 1.99 is a GREAT price around here. no matter what kinda cichlids they are heh

any one heard of blue eyed?

Blue eyed normally refers to what used to be called cichlasoma spilurum, or rarely to what used to be cichla sajica. They're both nice alternatives to convicts, similar in habits but much less aggressive, esp. spilurum. They were then reclasified from Cichlasoma to Archocentrus, and now I think Cryptoheros, so if you want to do searchs, try those names.
They're super for medium sized community, but won't work with your other fish very well - African and S/Central American cichlids don't mix well in my experience.
