I am going to set up a 48" X 12"X 12", for some Mbuna cichlids and was wondering if you could give me any setup info for exampple what doyou do with you rocks and caves, because they push them over or something.

Any info would be a great help.

P.S any good internet aquatic shops.

yes all cichlids will arrange the tank to their likings. Most likely, they will dig around/under the rocks but not tip them over. Get big enough rocks to prevent tipping but still fit in your tank and secure them in the substrate. You shouldn't have a big problem with that.

Good Luck keep us updated with pics and such!!

put egg crate on the bottom of the tank and stack the rocks up from teh veyr bottom, mbunas will usually not put over rocks unless they are very small and will not be able to dig under them if they go to the bottom, just make stable structures with lots of caves, may want to look into texas holey rock as it comes in all size buffers the water to keep the ph up and has lots of holes, it works great for mbunas

where did you get a tank with those dimensions ?

i have texas holey rock my mbunas love them, yes they did underneath and it shifts the rocks and they can fall, and if you silicon them, then it is a pain to remove, i just finally figured out a stackable arangement that the rocks were stable after they shifted,
heres mine with 75 lbs of texas holey rock
