There is nothing wrong with the animals that nature created naturally. I do not believe it is our place to "alter" an animal for aesthetic purposes. It is selfish and irresponsible, in my opinion, and a waste of time. There is a plethora of naturally beautiful animals on this earth. Half of the beauty of a creature is knowing that nature created it, and accepting it for what it is.

Sorry, but I think the whole thing is 100%, completely and wholly a bunch of crap and it disgusts me.

I remember awhile back I bought some painted glass fish, I had never seen them before and thought they looked cool. When I found out how they got those pretty colors it almost made me sick :(

Maybe someday I'll learn not to buy fish that I don't know what they are first :D

Im not totally for all this but infact if you think about it, this isnt hurting the fish. It is altering gene's, gene altering is done all the time. To break down cancer cells they use radiation etc.It is used in making cops e.g crops of corn and used in making cattle and other animals. It is simply altering a gene, Im not for it, I just think its something to consider by consider I dont mean the fish lol.

Well for someone who owns so many genetically modified fish tell us how you really feel.

You realize you own some of the most genetically modified fish we see at the pet stores right? Breeding for a trait is still genetically modifying. This is just a new method of genetic modification (in the aquatic field).

If you want some non genetically modified fish, why not go collect your own, But I bet you'll be less than thrilled with the fish you get. Most of the species you have in your tanks, are nowhere near the fish you'd find in the wild.
