new saltwater

I want to start a saltwater tank. I have a 29g fresh water tank with the whole set up that i bought from walmart. My first question is how much lighting do i need to support a reef. second is live rock enough to filter out a tank? If not what kind of filter should i get?
I appreciate all the help i get.

For lighting, it depends on what kind of reef organisms you want to keep.
In addition to that live rock, you'll want a decent protein skimmer.

Check out the sticky "What do you have in your tank?"--there happen to be a couple of 29s in there, including mine.
