yesterday i bought myself a 4 inch long salvini, it was in pretty bad shape in the store, it was being picked by a freakishly massive parrot fish. But it didnt seem to have any diseases, it just seemed stressed. So i bought it, thinking that i could nurse it back to health.

at the moment it is in a 29g tank on its own, i may add a pleco later. i am not sure whether it is male or female, i will try and get some pics up soon.

thanks c-man,

at the moment he is to scared to come out when the tank lights are on, he just hides in his litle cave. when they are off however and just the room light is on he quite happily swims around and eats. maybe he just needs to get used to it? or do you think i should try some dither fish?

at the mo, the tanks still a little cloudy, so i'll get pics up tomorrow once its settled :D.

Yeah, some small dithers may help him ease up a bit. But I would just be carefull about putting anything in there you arent prepared to loose, just in case.

Congrats and can't wait to see some pics.

well hes looking a lot better now than he was in the fish store, his dorsal fin is still not all there, so im not really sure if its a he or a she just yet :p. Fed him some frozen bloodworms today, most of them fell to the substrate, but he very effeicently vacuumed (sp?) them all up, returning back to his cave after each bloodworm, it was quite funny actually :D.
