My female swords dropped about 40 fry last night. They are so cute. But as soon as I released the mum back into the tank, one of my male guppies, an orange and yellow guy, started chasing her around and trying to breed with her. Is there anyway to disscourage this behaviour? ???
Also, the other male guppy in that tank has adopted the baby fish in the birthing box as his own, and puts the run on all the other fish who come anywhere near it. What is that all about? is this normal, or is my fish a freak? :
My other sword fry are in a 10 gallon by themselves. They are a month old. when can I put the new fry in with the old fry? water temp is same, and both are filtered(the 10 has a fry-proof suction), and the ph is the same. the older kids are a month now.... big enough to(possibly) be bullies, too small to go in my big tank. ;D
