New Tanganyika cichlid set up Adviose needed

It seems that the Milawi Cichlids need somewhat bigger tank than I had expected, however the Tanganyika seem not to need quite as much space and would live happily in my (what was originally going to be a Milawi setup. if you have not seen my previous post my tank is 27 Gallon. I have quickly looked at the Tanganyika cichlids after receiving a reply from earlier postings.

these are the ones that interest me.

Neolamprologus leleupi

Neolamprologus multifasciatus

Julidochromis transcriptus
Neolamprologus brevis Telmatochromis brichardi

id say sand substrate area with a bunch of shells for shelldwellers other side of tank rocky with a pair of julies

The N. Leleupi needs quite a bit of swiming area. You might want to go with something that dosen't need the room as much. such as an Altolamprologu Calvus.

altolamprologous calvus and compressiceps might eat your shell dwellers and definately any babies they have

This is true. More so for the compressiceps than the calvus, but Calvus grow so slow that I really wouldn't worry about them eating the adult multies but the fry would go bye, bye pretty quick.

they both grow that slow, it would epend if he bought wildcaughts or just regular tank raised ones
