New tank cloudiness

I have just setup a new tank it is a 20 gallon truvu and I got 11 lbs live rock and 20 lbs live sand. Someone told me to add the water first then the rock then the sand. Now the tank is very cloudy its been over 24 hrs what can help clean it up. I have a Bak pak filter which has bio bale media and a protein skimmer. Should I add some kinda carbon charcoal pad somewhere in it to get rid of the cloudiness? Help

I would say patience, It will eventually go away ...

naw just wait it out, if it is a fine particulate sand it can take up to a week for everything to settle down, just make sure you have good water movement and you should be fine

I was wondering also would it be smart to get some charcoal pad or something for the bottom of the wet dry filter? to help filter. I thought the filter system i bought was overkill. With bio bale, bio filter and the protein skimmer in one unit. Says it handles up to 60 gal tank I have a 20.

the bio bale is a little redundant--with live rock and live sand, that should be sufficent biological filtration

as for a carbon pad, you could probably go ahead and use one

as far as the cloudiness it is mostly a matter of time...i definitely wouldn't add any chemicals
