I have my new 46G Bowfront tank up and going. Added the BioSpira and now have added 5 new platies (one was dead within 3 hours but never acted right after being added to the tank) I used Stresscoat, have done the test on water (5 in one test, all levels are showing ideal range). Should I use more than the 4 platies to finish the cycle of the tank? How long should I wait before adding some new fish? (has been suggested I wait 4 weeks, but then I have read 2 weeks in other places)
thanks for your suggestions, Sapphire

When you choose fish you want to make sure you pick some healthy ones. If you added biospira your tank is alredy cycled and those test strips aren't that accurate so if possible i'd buy the liquid test kits. You can go ahead and add the fish you want, just not too many at a time but you can put quite a lot of fish after you cycled with biospira.
