What Makes the tank Weigh More Sand OR Gravel!

good point but what i mean is say for 2inches deep of sand dose it weigh more that 2 inches of gravel!

2 inches of sand should weigh more assuming that the sand and gravel have similiar densities. Smaller grains = smaller spaces between grains = more mass will fit in a same volume.

Wonders what weight matters for? in the end its gonna be more then you can carry anyways.. hehe... I know my 55 gallon weighs a crap load.. I would bet all said and done my 55 weighs around close to 700 pounds... estimate of course.. and I have 65 pounds of pebble type sand or gravel whatever you wanna call it in there..
