I would suggest a 5 gallon glass tank. Its easier to clean and small heaters (50w) work perfect on them. I have a lot of acrylic tanks, and they are pretty nice, but I like the flexibility of glass tanks now...

But if your set on acrylic, and eclipse 6gal is a really nice setup, complete with removable lid slots for a heater!

If you plan to attempt keeping anything at all with your betta, I'd suggest a 5-gallon minimum. The ADF will appreciate having some room to stretch those legs! The 3-gallon really isn't enough for much more than one happy solitary betta.
