New Tank.

I just bought a 29 gallon tank. Which I'm in the middle of a fishless cycle. I thought that I would like to try something a little more challenging. I've been reading a lot about cichlids. Can anyone help, as to what type would be best for this size of a tank. After reading a lot about them I realize that a lot of them need a bigger tanks then I have. Although I have read that people do keep them successfully in a 29g tank.

I would keep a pair of convicts in there myself, or a pair of Rainbow cichlids. Either of these fish get about 5" and yes it will be heavily stocked but with good maintance and hiding places it is definatly workable*celebrate

What about a pair of kribs? Or a pair of apistos? Or a pair of german blue rams? Or a colony of shell dwellers? What kind of cichlids do you wnt to try, African, or south american?

2 Angel Fish, the Koi strains are beautiful!

and a pair of german rams...

That'll be my setup on my 55g xmas present (except with a few more angels)
