I'm new to the game, I want to have a couple sharks of my own. I don't know anything about them however I want some neat looking "true sharks" that could be easy to maintain and not have a huge tank.

Comments appreciated

Thanks

True sharks? So in effect you want miniature versions of jaws?

If not, there unfortunately aren't any freshwater fish commonly sold as "sharks" that stay small. The smallest to my knowledge are bala sharks which grow to well over a foot and need a lot of swimming space.

At least 70 gallons IMO. If you use the one inch per gallon rule you'd need a 50 gallon (16'' * 3 = 48). Sharks need a lot of room to swim so the more the better. So at the very least I'd say 70 g.

You've got 3 of them so thats a good start. They seem to be pretty hard fish, but I've never kept them before.

Well I don't have, its more like i want. 70g tank seems very large but idk. If i had one or two could i reduce the size? Is there other sharks out there that can have a smaller tank?

Thanks
