Was wondering if anyone out there has some good thoughts on what fish would appropriate for my tank.  I am almost through the nitrogen cycle and it is time to start thinking about adding fish.

I have a 26 gallon tank.  It is planted with artificial plants with gravel on the bottom.  I started the tank with:

4 Serape Tetras
3 Zebra Danios
2 African Frogs.

I would love to add some fish with some more size to them.  Also, because of the decor of the room in which I have the fish tank I would like to add some fish with a yellow coloring.

What is the maximum amount of fish I should get?  What do you guys suggest to round out the tank?

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Lemon tetra will add the color your seeking. As for amount of fish depends on your Bio-filter capabilty. You didn't mention your filter set-up. I am not saying to load your tank to full tilt but, I have kept 78 fish in a 25 gallon tank, but I would not recommend this because you really have to change water often in it. My bio-filter kept all the toxins down, but PH lowers fast & nitrates sky-rockets fast. You may want to add a cory for the bottom, and may some hatch fish for the top with the danios, Marble Hatchetfish are nice but finicky for first few days. Clown loaches are nicely colored additions also. Danios are also available in gold to yellow color. I also have Green leopard danios, Gold & Blue Zebra danios, all long fin. :)

Thanks for the thoughts.

I have a Bio-Wheel filter.

Does that make a differnce.  Given that filter roughly how many fish do you think I should keep in the tank?

Thanks again.
