NH testing

Hello. I was at the petstore looking at tests today and found one that hangs on the side of the tank. It rotates to tell you if its in safe. warning, and danger. Maybe something else.

Its kind of like a hydrometer that measures NH. Dose anyone have any idea of how well it works. Or is it just a piece of junk

I'd say it's a piece of junk. If your aquarium is working properly you never have to test ammonia.

seachem makes a in tank ammonia monitor...

They can be useful in some circumstances - I'm thinking more in breeder tanks than in your average tank. Tho when one has to medicate, or is adding new fish, it could be useful.
