What i am wanting to do is make a community cichlid tank?I've heard that keyhole's and krib's can be placed in community tank,so maybe lets base it around that.Does anyone have any other opinions?I dont care if its African,SA,or CA.The tank is a 55.Maybe give me a group of cichlids that work together?

If you have softer water, apsitogramma could be what you are looking for.
They stay small, are colorful and are not aggressive enough to do damage to other fish.

They go well with tetras, cories, and plecos.

i too am thinking about going in the direction of "community" cichlids.. angel, GBR, apisto are all on the list. appistos need soft water to survive?

(of course, i may change my mind and switch to very aggressive cichlids.. i haven't decided yet :D)
