The shrimp are alive!!!!! I can hardly believe it, but they are in there well at least 4 of the 5 that we had bought!!! We did a partial water change today and moved some stuff around and poof! there they were walking around in the tank! As fast as we finished up they had vanished again ( I think they should be called invisible shrimp!!!! So while we don't know where they hide because we had taken everything out a while back and no shrimp, they are in there now!!!!

Yippie!

Make that 5 out of 5 LOL!

So a month later (at least I think it has been a month!) we see all 5 of those little shrimp, except they aren't so little anymore they have at least doubled in size so they have been eating something!!! Now they are out on the log at times and bunched together in the top of it! Don't know what they have been doing but they are in there all the same!!!!

Hey 1fish2fish.... I'm wanting some Turquoise Rainbows for my tank but I've looked at several LFS and they don't have any. Were yours hard to find? And do they seem to be good community fish?

Thanx, Nene

They are a great community fish and since we just stumbled across them at our favorite LFS I would have to say that they were easy to find lol! The guy at the store did tell us that in a community tank we wouldn't have success in breeding (not that this was a big deal to us) and as such said that getting all males was the best bet. The only thing is that the rainbows are pigs when it comes to eating, they look more like piranha then nice peaceful community fish at meal time! They are very active too and they seem to love the current put out by the spray bar!

Hope that helps!
